Zamalek Requests Compensation from FIFA After 12 Years

The Egyptian club Zamalek, headed by Hussein Labib, has sent an official letter to the International Football Federation (FIFA) requesting participation in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

Zamalek stated in their announcement: "On the occasion of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup to be held in the United States of America, we would like to inform you that Zamalek is the second champion of Africa and the team that has won the most championships in the 20th century, and has yet to receive an invitation to participate in the tournament."

They added: "We would like to inform you that Zamalek was close to participating in the 2002 tournament, but it was canceled for unexplained reasons, and it is now time to compensate for this tournament."
