Iranian state television reported on Monday that services at many fuel stations in the capital, Tehran, have been disrupted, although the cause remains unclear. The state television, citing the Minister of Oil, noted that "at least 30 percent of fuel stations across the country are operational." Iranian and Israeli media have reported that a hacking group, referred to as "Predator Bird," claimed responsibility for the attack that caused the disruption at fuel stations in Iran. The hacking group stated in a message, as reported by Iranian media, "This cyberattack was executed meticulously to avoid causing any potential harm to emergency services." The Iranian Civil Defense Organization, responsible for the country's cybersecurity, mentioned that it is still examining all possible causes of the outages while investigating the matter. Official Iranian media noted that this group has previously claimed responsibility for cyberattacks targeting fuel stations, railway networks, and steel factories in the country.
