The Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation and the General Union of Poultry Producers in Egypt denied reports circulating in some media outlets about a virus affecting poultry that leads to their mortality on farms. The General Union of Poultry Producers affirmed that "production cycles are proceeding normally, and there are no health issues in poultry farming, with high occupancy rates in fattening units. Presently, poultry production meets all needs despite increasing consumption rates related to the seasons; however, there is market and price stability." The Ministry of Agriculture urged media outlets to verify any potentially misleading information that could cause confusion, despite the state's significant efforts in providing the poultry industry with feed, serums, and veterinary vaccines in foreign currency. The ministry also encouraged direct communication for information from trustworthy sources.
