After 44 days since the commencement of military operations by Hezbollah on the southern border and the Israeli bombardment affecting various towns, government statistics have revealed the extent of the damage in the south, as well as the relief and aid efforts for the displaced being undertaken by ministries, administrations, and international partner organizations, as follows:
- Lebanon (the governorates of the South and Nabatiyeh) has experienced 722 bombings and airstrikes.
- 5.1 million square meters have been burned.
- 96 martyrs have fallen.
- 46,325 people have been displaced from their homes.
- 1,062, or 2.3% of the displaced, are residing in shelters.
- 57% of the displaced have moved to cities and towns in the South and Nabatiyeh.
- The aid system has been activated, but accessing the majority of displaced individuals in homes requires increased effort.
