Al-Hilal continued its winning streak against Al-Nassr this season, defeating them 2-1 in the semifinals of the Saudi Super Cup, securing a spot in the final against Al-Ittihad on Monday. The first half ended in a goalless draw, before Salem Al-Dawsari scored the opening goal in the 61st minute following a brilliant pass from Sergej Milinković-Savić. Eleven minutes later, Brazilian Michael delivered a cross that his compatriot Malcolm directed into the net, scoring Al-Hilal's second goal against Colombian David Ospina. Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Al-Nassr, received a red card after clashing with Al-Hilal defender Ali Al-Bulayi before the match ended, just five minutes before the whistle. In the 99th minute, Sadio Mané scored to reduce the deficit for Al-Nassr, but the referee blew the final whistle, confirming Al-Hilal's advance to the final. Al-Hilal, a three-time champion of the competition, will face Al-Ittihad, in a repeat of the 2018 final, which Al-Hilal won 2-1 in London.
