Data from the Turkish Ministry of Tourism, released today, Friday, indicates that the number of foreign visitors rose by 16.2 percent in May compared to the same period last year, reaching 4.5 million. This is an increase from 3.87 million foreign visitors in May 2022 and less than a million in May 2021, amid the strong impact of measures taken to curb the spread of COVID-19. The data also showed that Russians, Germans, and Britons topped the list of foreign visitors to Turkey in May.
