Burglary in Khalde: Airmoun Police Detain Perpetrators

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: On April 16, 2024, during an investigation conducted by the Airmoun police station of the regional gendarmerie, in response to a citizen's complaint about an unknown burglary at her home located in Khalde, the investigators identified a suspect. This individual, identified as T. A. (born in 1987, Syrian), had previously worked as a caretaker in the building where the burglary occurred.

Upon interrogation, he confessed to carrying out the burglary in collaboration with another person, and it was revealed that he had a criminal record for theft. Following further investigations, the police identified his accomplice and pinpointed his location in Khalde. A police force raided the area and arrested the following Syrian individuals: M. M. A. (born in 2002), M. A. A. (born in 1971), A. M. A. (born in 2003), R. M. A. (born in 2001), and A. N. N. (born in 2005).

During the search of the residence, the police discovered 23 mobile phones, a pump-action shotgun, five knives, a sword, and a considerable amount of cash, estimated at about $24,000. Additionally, a quantity of narcotic substances was seized. Both M. M. A. and T. A. were detained, while the others were released upon providing residency bonds as per the instructions of the competent judiciary.
