The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs announced on Saturday that "there is almost nothing left to distribute in the Gaza Strip," pointing to the poor state of water and sanitation in the area. The office stated in a post on the platform "X" that "there is almost nothing left to distribute in Gaza... the water and sanitation situation is deteriorating rapidly, and with the ban on aid entry, people can only resort to using rubble and waste to meet their needs." This comes as Israeli forces have been continuing to close the Kerem Shalom commercial crossing southeast of Rafah for nearly two weeks, preventing the entry of humanitarian and medical assistance, in addition to the closure of the Rafah crossing.
