Jumblatt: "Hezbollah" is Fulfilling Its Duty to Defend Lebanon

Former leader of the "Progressive Socialist Party," Walid Jumblatt, stated today, Thursday, that "Hezbollah is fulfilling its duty" in what he described as defending Lebanon on the front that has been open for seven months between it and Israel. Jumblatt, in an interview with BBC, expressed his preference for this front to remain "controlled" by Hezbollah, without the involvement of other armed groups. Regarding the current war in the Gaza Strip, Jumblatt considered that "what is happening in the sector is systematic displacement and the killing of all aspects of life." He warned that "these practices will extend to the West Bank."
