The Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdullah Bou Habib, held meetings in Bahrain on the sidelines of his participation in the Arab League Council at the level of foreign ministers, ahead of the Arab summit scheduled for tomorrow in Manama. In this context, Bou Habib met with his Bahraini counterpart, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, praising "Bahrain's unified stance, its support for Lebanon and its position, and its efforts to achieve stability and security in the region." He reaffirmed that "Lebanon's reliance on diplomacy as a means to resolve disputes and establish stability can only be achieved through respect for international law and international legitimacy," stressing the "necessity of giving peace a real chance after more than 75 years of conflicts and wars." Bou Habib also met with Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein, emphasizing "the need to fortify Lebanon's stability by resolving the land border issues with Israel and settling disputed points." He noted that "a ceasefire in Lebanon paves the way for the search for lasting stability."
