Israeli army spokesperson Avichai Adraee reported on a "surprise exercise simulating an offensive operation on the northern front conducted by Brigade 282." He confirmed in a post on the platform "X" that "Brigade 282 forces have been carrying out defensive and offensive missions on the northern border for three months after engaging on the southern front." Adraee continued: "During the last week, a surprise exercise was conducted during which various scenarios were practiced, including the rapid deployment of artillery for offensive purposes. The aim was to simulate combat in different fighting scenarios along the Lebanese border against Hezbollah." He concluded: "Since the outbreak of the war, artillery forces on the northern border have fired thousands of types of ammunition towards thousands of terrorist targets as part of an ongoing series of operations targeting sabotage cells and planned attacks on infrastructure and Hezbollah-affiliated targets in the border area."
