"Sam Sandwich" Kills 6 People in Morocco!

The toll of victims from food poisoning affecting customers at a fast food outlet in Marrakech, Morocco, has risen to 6 fatalities following the death of a young girl. Local media sources reported that the 5-year-old girl experienced health complications due to the food poisoning she suffered along with 25 others.

A total of 26 individuals suffered acute poisoning after consuming a “sandwich” at a fast food establishment in the popular neighborhood of Al-Mahamid in Marrakech, where they were quickly transported to the hospital, but 6 of them later died.

The poisoning incident in Marrakech has sparked controversy in Morocco due to the high number of victims and fatalities, prompting local authorities to launch an investigation into the incident.

The authorities also initiated extensive inspections of fast food establishments, resulting in the seizure of large quantities of spoiled food and unfit for consumption, leading to the closure of several restaurants.

The owner of the establishment where the poisoning occurred has been arrested on charges of "participation and causing unintentional death, and removing items from the crime scene."
