Musk Postpones His Scheduled Visit to India

American businessman Elon Musk has postponed his trip to India, which was scheduled for April 21-22, to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to the Economic Times, Musk intended to discuss accelerating the launch of global satellite communication services "Starlink" in India during the meeting, invest about two billion dollars in India, and build a joint production plant for electric vehicles in the country. In 2023, Musk sent investment proposals to the Indian government, which included the establishment of Tesla vehicle production in India, negotiations that have taken place with the country's Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Musk's proposal includes setting up a facility to produce 500,000 electric vehicles annually, localizing production in India, and exporting products to third countries. The minimum cost for the produced models would be around 25,000 dollars. Tesla has also expressed its intention to manufacture batteries in India to reduce costs.
