The family of hairstylist Haytham Basim Hassan has appealed for the release of their son, who is detained on the charge of murdering the well-known Iraqi content creator "Um Fahd." They confirmed they have evidence proving that their son was at his workplace "during, before, and after the incident." In an interview with "Alsumaria News," Monther Basim Hassan, the detained man's brother, stated: "Haytham works as a hairstylist in the Ziyouna area, and after hearing about the incident, he left the salon where he works and headed to the scene."
He added, "Upon his arrival, an officer called him over and asked for his ID, then arrested him because he was wearing a black outfit similar to the one the murderer had on," stressing, "the resemblance was only in clothing, despite the clear difference in height between my brother and the perpetrator." He further noted that "his papers were referred to court, but the verdict is always postponed." He mentioned that "one of the officers confirmed my brother's presence in the salon where he works during, before, and after the incident, yet he has not been released."
