"Tragic Incident" Near Kfar Abida Beach

Civil Defense personnel discovered the bodies of citizens Yahya Ahmed Abous and Walid Yacoub Sarkis after being reported missing near Kfar Abida beach. Members of the marine rescue unit and land centers of the Civil Defense had been searching for the missing individuals since 2 AM. They continued comprehensive field operations to locate the missing people amid extremely difficult weather conditions due to high waves and strong water currents. Earlier, their personal belongings and identification documents were found inside a bag located on the beach. The General Directorate of Civil Defense had issued a statement yesterday warning citizens, residents, and tourists to stay away from the beach due to the effects of the weather system, which could pose drowning risks.
