Food is considered one of the most important factors affecting the body and its organs. Some nutritional substances have a significant impact on improving health, combating aging, and fighting diseases. Regarding this topic, scientist and president of the Russian Anti-Aging Society, Svetlana Trofimova, stated, "There are many studies indicating the benefits of turmeric in fighting aging and prolonging life, confirming its anti-cancer properties. Turmeric has a beneficial effect on health thanks to curcumin, a biologically active substance found in its composition. This famous spice in Indian and Eastern cuisine enhances the production of serotonin and slows down the aging process in the body."
She added, "Curcumin not only suppresses cancer cells in the body but also prevents the appearance of new cancer cells." Trofimova pointed out that genetic factors affect our health by only 30-40%, while the remaining percentage is influenced by several factors, including lifestyle, physical activity, and the significant role of food in this matter. Many medical studies indicate that the curcumin present in turmeric has numerous effects on the body's health, helping to alleviate inflammation such as joint inflammation, improving heart health, fighting blood clots, and aiding in the healing process of wounds.
