The General Directorate of Civil Defense announced in a statement that "due to the current weather effects on the Lebanese beach, which is expected to continue until tomorrow, and has caused rising waves and noticeable speed in marine currents due to the accelerating tides resulting from strong winds," it warns "citizens, residents, and tourists against visiting the beach during these two days as it may expose them to drowning risks, especially after the recent repetition of drowning incidents." It urged "fishermen, owners of tourist boats, and anyone practicing water sports such as jet skiing or paragliding, to refrain from engaging in any activities in these extremely dangerous weather conditions." The statement also reminded "citizens and residents to adhere to the public safety guidelines issued by the General Directorate of Civil Defense and to call 125 for assistance when necessary."
