Marijuana and Cocaine... Between Ouzai and Costa Brava

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division announced in a statement that "as part of the ongoing monitoring carried out by the specialized units of the Internal Security Forces to combat drug trafficking and promotion operations in various Lebanese regions, information was provided to the Information Branch regarding unknown individuals promoting narcotics along the route extending from Ouzai towards Costa Brava in a black vehicle. Immediately, the specialized units in the branch began their field and investigative procedures, and as a result of extensive investigations and inquiries, the branch was able to identify them as follows: M.W. (born in 1990, Syrian) and H.D. (born in 2003, Syrian). It was also revealed that there is an arrest warrant against the first for facilitating prostitution activities.

On 20-2-2024, after careful observation and surveillance, one of the branch's patrols managed to apprehend them in the act in the Ouzai area while they were promoting narcotics in the area in a black "FAW" vehicle bearing a forged license plate, which was seized. Upon searching them and the vehicle, the following was found:

- 4 bags of marijuana weighing approximately 105 grams

- 16 envelopes of hashish weighing approximately 286 grams

- 101 envelopes of cocaine marked with various phrases (Baz Malik, Net Malik, Foreign Half, 1 Gram Foreign, 1 Gram Sand, 1 Gram Ordinary Net) weighing a total of approximately 305 grams

- 2 license plates, cash, and 3 mobile phones.

During the investigation, they admitted to the charges of promoting drugs to several customers in the seized vehicle. The vehicle was legally confiscated, and the necessary legal proceedings were carried out against them, and they were referred along with the seized items to the competent authority based on judicial directives."
