Campaign by State Security to Remove Illegal Refugee Tents in Nabatiyeh

State Security in Nabatiyeh has launched a campaign to remove illegal tents occupied by Syrian refugees who are living there without municipal permits. They have dismantled two tents belonging to (M.Sh.) in the Ain Arab area. In a statement, they indicated that this campaign to remove tents is aimed at combating the widespread chaos among the refugees and due to suspicions regarding their affiliations with terrorist organizations. State Security has seized large quantities of military weapons in tents occupied by Syrian refugees across various provinces.

State Security emphasized that municipalities must exercise the highest degree of awareness when sheltering any refugee, and there should be monitoring and verification of their legal and identification documents. They urged Lebanese citizens to report any suspicious individuals among Syrians they know to State Security or any military and security agency for the sake of their own safety and that of their families.
