Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan emphasized today, Tuesday, that "the humanitarian tragedy in the Gaza Strip cannot be justified under the pretext of self-defense." During a meeting with the Russian Foreign Minister and the Arab-Islamic ministerial committee regarding the escalation in Gaza, bin Farhan stated, "It is essential to activate the mechanism for international accountability in light of the Israeli violations in Gaza." He pointed out that "Israel's continued violation of international law undermines the legitimacy of the international system."
