The Israeli National Security Agency (NSH) has warned Israelis against traveling to the Sinai Peninsula during the upcoming Jewish Passover holidays next month, as well as visiting Turkey and Arab countries. The Israeli security agency recommended avoiding travel to Turkey, Morocco, Egypt (including Sinai), and Jordan, according to the Israeli newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth."
Additionally, the agency warned Israelis against attending the Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Malmö, Sweden in May. In this context, a political official involved in anti-terrorism stated, "You don't need to walk around there waving Israeli flags; be modest."
The Israeli official confirmed that "since the beginning of the war on Gaza, there has been a significant increase in terrorist threats against Israelis abroad, including dozens of terrorist attacks around the world that have already been thwarted in recent months."
The Israeli official emphasized that in light of the latest travel warnings worldwide, travel to the beaches of Sinai should be avoided, stating: "There is a considerable amount of potential danger; the conditions are not conducive for returning to Sinai." He added, according to the Israeli news website "Srugim," that it is still inadvisable for Israelis to visit the beaches of Sinai, saying: "Traveling to Sinai still involves a considerable amount of potential risks, and conditions are not conducive for a safe return there."
The official clarified that there is currently no intention to close the border crossings between Israel and Egypt unless there is a more targeted threat, and the public will be warned to act accordingly.
