Saudi Ambassador Walid Bukhari left for Riyadh yesterday for a leave that will last until after Eid al-Fitr. A well-informed source confirmed to "Nidaa al-Watan" that the suspension of the Quintet committee ambassadors' group meetings with Lebanese leaders until after Eid al-Fitr does not mean that the efforts to restore the functioning of constitutional institutions have stopped. The source revealed that the Qatari efforts will continue vigorously, whether through Qatari Ambassador Saud bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani or through public or discreet visits by Lebanese leaders to Doha. The source also indicated that Druze leader Walid Jumblatt is likely to accept an invitation to visit Qatar on the upcoming Monday and Tuesday, although his schedule has not yet been finalized.
