Blinken Discussed the Urgency of Ending the Conflict in Sudan with Burhan

The U.S. State Department stated that Secretary Antony Blinken discussed the urgent need to end the conflict in Sudan with General Abdel Fattah Burhan, head of the Sudanese Sovereign Council, during a phone call. The department added that Blinken and Burhan also talked about ways to "ensure the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid, including across borders and conflict lines, to alleviate the suffering of the Sudanese people."
