Title: Amendment of Press Holiday for Eid al-Fitr

The Press Syndicate announced today, Monday, that the press holiday for Eid al-Fitr has been amended. In a statement, it said: "On the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Fitr and based on the memorandum issued by the Prime Minister's office, newspapers will cease operations on the first and second days of the holiday, according to the announcement from the Dar al-Fatwa for the first of Shawwal (the first day of Eid al-Fitr) and the announcement from the Supreme Shiite Council for the same date. This is in accordance with the decision of the councils of the Press and Editors Syndicates and the Labor Union of Printing Workers, Distribution Companies, and Graphic Designers in Lebanon."
