Bassil: Reviewing the European Union's Position on the Syrian Refugee Issue

The head of the Free Patriotic Movement, Gebran Bassil, received the new German ambassador Kurt Georg Stöckl-Stillfried in a courtesy visit, accompanied by his political advisor Julius Johann Klüpfel. The meeting was attended by MP Nada Boustani and the head of diplomatic relations Bashir Haddad, and current issues were discussed. A statement from Bassil's office indicated that "the views aligned on many key topics," emphasizing "the Movement's stance on the refugees and the need for the European Union and Germany to review their position on this issue."
