Reports have revealed that Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad club is keen on signing a major star during the upcoming summer transfer window to compensate for their failure to acquire Egyptian star Mohamed Salah from Liverpool. Al-Ittihad attempted to sign Salah during the summer transfer market of 2023 but was unsuccessful due to Liverpool's insistence on keeping their Egyptian star.
According to "The Athletic," Salah has not decided to leave Liverpool, despite a recent altercation with his coach, Jurgen Klopp. It is expected that he will remain with the team until the end of his contract in the summer of 2025, based on a mutual desire between the Egyptian star and the Reds management.
Italian journalist Rudy Galetti reported on his official account on "X" that Al-Ittihad's management has identified South Korean star Son Heung-min, who plays for Tottenham Hotspur, as a potential alternative to bolster their attacking line.
