The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, announced that Israeli authorities have prevented him from entering the Gaza Strip for the second time since the outbreak of the war on October 7. Lazzarini wrote on the X platform, "This week, they refused - for the second time - my entry to Gaza, where I intended to be with our colleagues at UNRWA, including those on the front lines." He added, "In just the past two weeks, we recorded 10 incidents involving gunfire at convoys and the detention of UN staff, including bullying, stripping them of their clothing, armed threats, and prolonged delays at checkpoints, which forced convoys to move in darkness or abort their mission."
