U.S. President Joe Biden revealed that thoughts of suicide crossed his mind after the death of his first wife and daughter in a car accident in 1972. Biden's wife, Neilia, and their infant daughter, Naomi, were killed in a car crash in December 1972. Biden's sons, Hunter and Beau, were injured in the accident. In a radio interview with journalist Howard Stern on Sirius XM, Biden said, "I told myself: 'You don't have to be crazy to commit suicide... I thought about it for a moment, but I had two kids.'" The president continued, "Don't get me wrong!" indicating that he does not intend to commit suicide.
