"Movements in Egypt" Due to Continuous Power Outages!

Member of the Energy and Environment Committee in the Egyptian Parliament, Mohamed El-Geblawi, submitted two requests for clarification regarding the ongoing power outages in the country. The parliament member stated in the first request that "citizens are suffering from the continuous power outages, which have become a daily occurrence, especially after the end of Ramadan." He explained that "the summer season has started, which is associated with rising temperatures, particularly in Upper Egypt." He noted in his request that "the daily power outages last for over two hours, with more strain placed on rural areas than urban ones," adding that "power cuts can extend to three hours, leaving citizens with no option but to purchase diesel-powered generators to maintain electricity supply, especially for bakeries, to cope with the service interruption." He continued: "Some citizens are purchasing lanterns and charging them for use during power outages, allowing them to carry out their daily activities, in addition to students studying and reviewing their lessons, especially since exams are approaching."
