Informed sources reported that Syrian Prime Minister Hussein Arnous expressed a positive stance regarding the issue of Syrian displaced persons in Lebanon, stating that his country is ready to work officially on this matter. According to the newspaper "Al-Akhbar," Arnous voiced his surprise at the absence of the Lebanese government on this issue, particularly Prime Minister Najib Mikati. Arnous called for official coordination with the Syrian government regarding the return of Syrian displaced persons, noting, "We have shown a lot of positivity in the security and judicial matters related to the return of the displaced, and there are safe places for them; however, amidst all the talk we hear in this regard, we have not received any official request from Lebanon, nor have we found any official Lebanese party engaging with us."
