CNN: Ground Attack on Lebanon by End of Spring or Early Summer

Senior officials in the U.S. administration and those familiar with intelligence information have revealed that President Joe Biden's administration and intelligence officials are concerned about Israeli plans for a ground incursion into Lebanon that could begin in the coming months if diplomatic efforts fail. An informed U.S. official told CNN that the possible Israeli incursion could occur as early as next summer. They noted that "the administration is operating under the assumption of an Israeli military operation in the coming months." They continued, stating, "The incursion does not necessarily have to happen in the next few weeks but could occur later this spring." The official added that the Israeli military operation has become a clear possibility.
