The Jordanian Royal Court announced today, Wednesday, that Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II and Princess Rajwa Hussein are expecting their first child in the summer of this year. The Royal Court congratulated King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah on this occasion, wishing them a healthy and happy offspring. The Royal Court chose the first day of Eid al-Fitr to announce this joyful news for Jordanians and the royal family.
Crown Prince Hussein married Princess Rajwa Khalid Al Saif at the Zahran Palace in the capital, Amman, on June 1 of last year. The wedding ceremony of the 29-year-old Crown Prince and the 29-year-old Saudi architect was broadcast live on social media. Members of royal families from around the world attended the royal marriage, including Prince William of Britain and his wife, Princess Kate of Wales. The First Lady of the United States, Jill Biden, and her daughter Ashley Biden also attended the wedding ceremony.
After the nuptial ceremony, the wedding procession took a celebratory route from Zahran Palace to Al Husseiniya Palace in western Amman, with thousands of Jordanians and residents able to partake in the celebration through seven locations along the royal procession route. The Crown Prince and Princess Rajwa greeted the crowds of citizens as their procession passed by. According to what Hussein revealed during one of the discussion sessions, his story of meeting Rajwa was no different from usual tales, as a mutual friend was behind their introduction.
