Dangerous Materials Found: Security Forces Raid a House in Fanar

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: Previously, the New Jdeideh police station of the regional gendarmerie arrested (A.F., born in 1982, Lebanese) for domestic violence and seized chemical substances in his possession.

As a result of investigations conducted by the Central Anti-Drug Office, information was obtained indicating that the aforementioned detainee was involved in the manufacture of drugs, particularly "Crystal Meth," with the assistance of his wife (D.Z., born in 1993, Lebanese), who was also arrested.

A force from the aforementioned office conducted a raid on their home in the Fanar area, where large quantities of chemicals used in drug manufacturing were found, including ether, ethanol, ketamine, and others.

Follow-up investigations revealed that he had rented a vehicle, which contained quantities of drugs, and that the detainee had another residence where he was producing drugs. This location was identified in the north, and a raid was conducted there by the office's force, which uncovered significant amounts of raw materials used in the "cooking" of drugs, notably "Crystal Meth," recognized as one of the most dangerous types of drugs. It was found that he was obtaining these prohibited materials from some wanted dealers in the Beqaa region.

During the interrogation, both suspects confessed to the charges related to drug manufacturing. The car and chemical substances were seized, and both houses were sealed with red wax per the instructions of the competent judiciary.
