In a similar incident, the case of the "Al-Shorouk Girl," Habiba El-Shamaa, has reoccurred as an Egyptian girl jumped from a minibus after the driver attempted to kidnap her, resulting in serious injuries. Egyptian authorities received a report about a girl named Buthaina Hesham who jumped from a "microbus" after the driver attempted to change its route and abduct her in the Al-Shorouk area of Cairo.
It was revealed that the girl was riding a "microbus" from the Sheraton housing area heading to Abbasia in Cairo. Upon discovering that the driver was changing the route and attempting to kidnap her after all passengers had disembarked, she jumped from the bus, sustaining various injuries, including a dislocated shoulder.
Egyptian security forces are intensifying their efforts to identify the driver and apprehend him. The girl's family stated that she informed them that while riding the "microbus," she was surprised when passengers got off in the Jamal Abdul Naser area in the Alf Masaken neighborhood. She noticed the driver took another route claiming it was a shortcut, until she found herself on the Al-Shorouk road, prompting her to jump from the vehicle and suffer serious injuries.
This incident comes just days after the death of Habiba El-Shamaa, a student known in the media as the "Taxi Girl," who passed away after being in a coma for 21 days.
