Abdullahian: We Will Not Hesitate to Defend Our Interests Against Any New Aggression

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian affirmed today, in a post on X platform, that "Iran does not intend to prolong its defensive operations, but it will not hesitate to protect its legitimate interests against any new aggression." The exercise of legitimate self-defense indicates Iran's responsible approach towards regional and international peace and security. The Islamic Republic of Iran, at this moment, does not intend to continue defensive operations, but if necessary, it will not hesitate to safeguard its legitimate interests against any new aggression.

In this context, Abdollahian, during a meeting with foreign ambassadors in Tehran, stated that "Iran informed the United States that its attacks against Israel would be limited and for self-defense." He mentioned, "Iran informed its neighbors of its retaliatory attack on Israel 72 hours in advance," adding, "About 72 hours before our operations, we informed our friends and neighbors in the region that Iran's response to Israel is certain, legitimate, and irreversible."
