Lebanon's Speaker of Parliament, Nabih Berri, stated that he "does not see anything preventing the swift election of a president for the republic, and the Lebanese can agree on this matter." He emphasized that "in the end, there is no escaping sitting at a table for dialogue, discussion, or consultation, or under any title that brings the Lebanese together to resolve this issue." In an interview with the newspaper "Al-Jumhuriya," he pointed out that "with rational and objective dialogue and sincere intentions, we can accomplish the presidential elections in less than ten days."
