Morocco recorded an earthquake measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale, which affected the Tetouan region in the northern part of the kingdom. The National Institute of Geophysics (governmental) stated in a statement that "the tremor occurred at 14:44 UTC in the municipality of Al-Hamra belonging to this region." It added that the quake, recorded at a depth of 72 kilometers, occurred at the intersection of latitude 35.397 degrees North and longitude 5.939 degrees West.
