Title: Porto Coach Claims Arteta Insulted His Family

Porto coach Sergio Conceição has accused Arsenal counterpart Mikel Arteta of insulting his family during a Champions League match between the two teams. This comes as Conceição continues to express his grievances towards opposing coaches following a defeat.

The two coaches were seen exchanging words after the match, with Conceição appearing to chastise Arteta and pointing his finger at the Spaniard as he made his point, while Arteta shook his head and walked away.

Conceição stated in Portuguese after the game: "During the match, Arteta turned to the bench and in Spanish – it must be an issue with Spanish coaches because it was the same with Pep Guardiola – he insulted my family... In the end, I told him to be careful because the person who insulted him is no longer with us, and he should focus on coaching his team, as he has an obligation to deliver more and better due to his individualistic approach."

When asked about his conversation with Conceição in the post-match press conference, Arteta simply responded: "No comment" before leaving the podium.

Conceição has previously made similar claims against other coaches. After a group stage loss to Manchester City in 2020, he stated: "Guardiola spoke about our country using ugly words, and Guardiola's attitude was very disturbing."
