American media mogul Rupert Murdoch (92 years old) has announced his engagement to biologist Elena Zhukova (67 years old), according to a report by The New York Times from Murdoch's office. The newspaper noted that Murdoch began dating Zhukova last summer; she is a retired molecular biologist. If the marriage takes place in June, it will be Murdoch's fifth, after he divorced model Jerry Hall in the summer of 2022 and later became engaged to dentist Ann Leslie Smith in the spring of 2023, a relationship that was called off about two weeks later. Murdoch met Zhukova through his third wife, Wendi Deng. Zhukova studied diabetes at the University of California, Los Angeles, and moved to the United States during the late Soviet Union era. She was married to billionaire Alexander Zhukov, an energy investor who currently resides in London as a British citizen. Zhukova's daughter, Dasha, is an entrepreneur and was married until 2017 to Russian businessman Roman Abramovich. A spokesperson from Murdoch's office confirmed to the newspaper that wedding invitations have been sent to guests, and the celebration will take place at his California ranch. Late last year, Murdoch announced his sudden resignation from his positions at "Fox Corporation," the parent company of Fox News, and "News Corp," passing the responsibilities to his son Lachlan.
