Donor entities at a conference in Kuwait on Sunday pledged over two billion dollars to assist the devastated Gaza Strip due to the ongoing Israeli war for more than seven months. The conference, organized by the International Islamic Charitable Organization and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), announced in its final statement that the amount would be "implemented over the years 2024 and 2025." The initiative will focus on mobilizing efforts to support life-saving humanitarian interventions in the Gaza Strip during the coming two years as a renewable first phase.
