Nikita Buturayev, the head of the Humanitarian and Information Policy Committee in the Ukrainian Parliament, proposed the imposition of military censorship across the country, emphasizing that it "will provide the authorities with the necessary powers." In an interview published on the Telegram channel on YouTube, Buturayev stated, "As the head of the committee, I am compelled to consider military censorship because it is not merely restrictions on content, but also additional powers." According to him, these additional powers would allow for the identification of individuals writing about corruption in the operations of regional recruitment centers (the new name for military recruitment services in Ukraine), and about how employees of these centers pursue conscripted citizens on the streets, sending them to the front without preparation and training. The parliamentarian claimed that criticism directed at the operations of regional recruitment centers undermines their activities and negatively impacts government operations.
