The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced today, Tuesday, that it "has signed an agreement with the United States to purchase a third squadron of stealth fighter jets, F-35s, from Lockheed Martin, in a deal valued at three billion dollars, which will raise the number of these aircraft in the Israeli Air Force to 75." It noted that its mission in the United States officially signed the letter of offer and acceptance for the twenty-five fighters, which will begin to be delivered starting in 2028 at a rate of three to five aircraft annually.
