Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, will crown the first "Hope Maker" in the Arab world tomorrow, Sunday, among more than 58,000 nominations received for the fourth edition of "Hope Makers," the largest initiative of its kind in the Arab world to honor those who give and contribute. This recognition is due to their humanitarian efforts and community initiatives aimed at improving the conditions of their societies. The awards ceremony will take place at the "Coca-Cola Arena" in Dubai, where the winner will receive a financial reward of one million dirhams.
The closing ceremony will witness the presence of a select group of influential media, humanitarian, and cultural personalities from the Arab world, with the event being hosted by media figures Neshan Derharoutyounian and Maha Al Abed. Artists Hussein Al Jasmi, Ahlam, and Assala will perform musical segments during the event, which is expected to attract over 12,000 attendees.
The "Hope Makers" initiative falls under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation and aligns with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision of spreading hope and positivity in the region and instilling a culture of giving while promoting optimism and resilience against despair regardless of circumstances.
The initiative aims to shine a light on hope makers across the Arab world—men, women, young men, and young women who work selflessly to serve others and improve their living conditions. It recognizes these individuals who create hope and contribute to enhancing lives by introducing them and their projects, boosting their visibility, and providing financial support to help them continue their voluntary work and individual efforts in instilling hope within their communities and expanding their initiatives for the benefit of the largest possible number of people.
The "Hope Makers" initiative targets individuals and institutions, focusing on those with projects or initiatives that improve people's lives or develop specific environments socially, economically, culturally, or educationally, or that contribute to solving any social challenges in their countries.
