Seizure of 40 Kg of Cannabis Hidden in a Piano at the Airport

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: "As part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to combat drug smuggling operations and arrest those involved, the Central Drug Enforcement Bureau received information about a network preparing to smuggle a quantity of cannabis hidden inside a musical instrument, a 'piano', to an European country via Rafik Hariri International Airport.

As a result of intensive investigations and inquiries, the officers of this bureau were able to identify the location of the package. After diligent follow-up, the officers managed to seize the musical instrument and arrest two members of the network, identified as:

- T. M. (born in 1990, Lebanese)

- R. K. (born in 1964, Lebanese)

Upon searching the 'piano', they discovered 40 kg of cannabis concealed in a professional manner within one of its parts. Legal measures were taken against the detainees based on the instructions of the competent judiciary, and search and investigation notices have been issued for the other involved individuals, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend them."
