Israeli Army Continues Bombardment of Southern Towns on New Year's Eve

The Israeli army targeted Wadi al-Dalafah in Hula with three artillery shells, as well as the outskirts of Al-Dahirah in Tyre Harfa with artillery fire. The hostile artillery barrage also hit the areas of Al-Tarash, Al-Jabal, and Ras Al-Dhahr in the town of Mais al-Jabal, located in the Marjeyoun district. Additionally, the Israeli bombardment targeted the outskirts of the town of Al-Jabin. In response, rockets were launched towards the Israeli position at the Al-Abad site near the town of Hula, and the Israeli site at Hadb Al-Bustan was hit with five rockets.

Today, Israeli forces bombarded several border towns in southern Lebanon, leading to renewed tensions in the region. Specifically, Israeli forces conducted an air raid on the town of Marwheen and targeted the outskirts of the Jabal Al-Balat area. Reports indicated that an Israeli aircraft bombed the outskirts of the town of Alama Al-Shaab from the direction of Al-Bouna – Naqoura. A drone also struck the outskirts of the town of Alama Al-Shaab this morning.

Throughout the night and into the morning, the Israeli army continued to launch illumination bombs over towns in the Tyre district, the coastal area, and in the western and central sectors. Enemy reconnaissance aircraft flew over these sectors up to the outskirts of the city of Tyre. The Israeli army renewed its attack this morning, firing from its positions adjacent to the town of Aita al-Shaab towards the outskirts and forests of the town.

In response, the military media of Hezbollah announced that its elements targeted the Haneetah site at 12:20 PM on Sunday, December 31, 2023, with appropriate weapons, achieving a direct hit. They also targeted the Al-Abad site at 3:30 PM on the same day with suitable weapons, resulting in direct hits as well.
