The Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, indicated that "the path to a presidential solution is known and is defined in the initiative I launched to gather the parties at a table for dialogue or discussion, or any synonym thereof, to agree on a candidate or candidates, with a timeframe of one week. We could reach an agreement in a single day, and then proceed to the Parliament to elect the President of the Republic through consecutive sessions." In a conversation with the newspaper "Al-Joumhouria," he pointed out that "the invitation for a meeting of the parties could happen today or tomorrow if there is an observed willingness to sit at the table. This will inevitably take place, especially since there is no way to resolve the presidential crisis other than by sitting at the table for consensus."
