The Hamas movement welcomed today, Thursday, the announcement issued by the Arab summit in Bahrain. In a statement, the movement called on Arab countries to take "the necessary measures to compel Israel to stop the war and withdraw from the entire Gaza Strip." It stated: "We welcome the statement issued by the thirty-third Arab summit held in the brotherly Kingdom of Bahrain, which affirmed unwavering Arab support for our people's aspirations for liberation and independence." The movement also welcomed the summit's statement reaffirming "rejection of Zionist aggression and attempts at displacement of our people pursued by the criminal Zionist entity through the genocide and ethnic cleansing it commits in Gaza." Hamas expressed "regret over President Mahmoud Abbas's statements at the Arab summit regarding the 'Storming of Al-Aqsa' operation and the reconciliation process."
