Hajjar to Mikati: A Stain on Lebanon's History!

Social Affairs Minister Hector Hajjar stated that "we could have secured better conditions for both Lebanese and Syrians through consultations," urging that "people should act from their positions instead of merely issuing statements." He addressed a message to President Najib Mikati via "Al-Jadeed," saying, "This is not how critical matters should be handled... We know you are smart, and this is a stain on Lebanon's history." He pointed out that "the problem lies in presenting the one billion euro grant and the issue of seasonal migration visas and work in Europe as if it were a victory." He noted that "there is a redistribution of funds coming from the European Union, which is not only for the Lebanese as announced by Mikati, but also for the displaced." He added, "Let Europe open the door for seasonal migration for Syrians instead of Lebanese."
