According to Yonhap News Agency, on Saturday, members of a leftist student association attempted to storm the office of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and were detained. The agency reported, "Police officers from the Yongsan District in Seoul arrested 20 members of the Korean Progressive Student Alliance around 1:10 PM today on charges of illegally entering the building."

It added, "A group of students gathered in front of the presidential office 10 minutes before the storming attempt, chanting various slogans, including demands for the president's resignation and a special investigation into the alleged financial fraud case involving his wife, Kim Geon-hee."

The report noted, "There was no prior agreement to hold a demonstration. Members of the student union requested a meeting with administrative representatives, and thereafter, they began entering the building through gates and fences. Some managed to breach the barrier, while others organized a protest in front of it."
