Title: Two Suspects Arrested for Car Break-Ins and Thefts

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division, issued a statement today, Saturday, stating: "As part of the operations conducted by the Internal Security Forces to track down theft gangs and arrest their members, and after there has been an increase in recent thefts from vehicles by breaking their glass in the town of Aramoun and its surroundings by two unknown individuals, the specialized units intensified their field and intelligence efforts to identify and arrest the individuals involved, especially following the spread of a video documenting their thefts on social media.

As a result of thorough investigations and inquiries, the information branch was able to identify them, including one named: A. F. (born in 1972, Lebanese), who has prior convictions for theft and gunfire. On September 7, 2023, after careful monitoring and surveillance, one of the branch’s patrols managed to arrest him in the Naameh area. During the investigation, he confessed to his involvement with another person in executing several thefts from cars in the Aramoun area and its surroundings by breaking their glass, and stated that the stolen items included cash, a firearm, and mobile phones.

The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was handed over to the competent authority based on judicial instructions, while efforts continue to apprehend the second suspect."
